Denis Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquin Bartolome recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Haroldo Harri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mauro Erasto hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute, Denis Marques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Denis Marques dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Placido Hurko, 2-0. In the 45th minute Haroldo Harri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Piorno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roque Pacifico kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Harri in the 47th minute of play forced Nueva Chicago's goalkeeper Alvaro Piorno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Haroldo Harri to make the kick off. Samuel Frantzes hit a great ball. In the 68th minute Joaquin Bartolome shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Hurko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Nueva Chicago getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Roque Pacifico hit a great ball. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 72nd minute, but Alvaro Piorno got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Nueva Chicago hanging dry this time. Haroldo Harri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nueva Chicago's Alvaro Piorno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Nueva Chicago from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roque Pacifico during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
