Krzysztof Wierzchowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Marciano Garikoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esteban Iratxo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th minute, Esteban Iratxo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marciano Garikoitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Esteban Iratxo made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Choya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gugu Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. Honorato Gilesindo kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. nigeria's Venancio Haitz shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 63rd minute of play. The nigeria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marciano Garikoitz should have stopped the shot. Ahmet Koralp Tekmil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Seme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Juan José Spruth fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Choya's protests and gave Juan José Spruth a yellow card for diving instead. Juan José Spruth kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Prospero Guillelmo kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Bernabe Sergi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 99th minute the ball was on its way in behind nigeria's goalkeeper Marciano Garikoitz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
