Racing Club's Danilo Uria got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Danilo Uria to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amadeo Garaona in the 60th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Ildefonso Roderigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Racing Club's Ildefonso Roderigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Diaz in the 61st minute of play. Danilo Uria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Caetano having to interfere. After 74 minutes, Luciano Vincent mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Racing Club and the Cacharí FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
