In the 38th match minute, Deportivo Bialet Masse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Talat Bozlak to maneuver through the defense. If Diego Faron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gogo Berenguer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Berbiz in the 46th minute of the match.

In the 52nd minute of the match Silvio Mundo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mojmír Ezechiáš skillfully saved the ball. Mojmír Ezechiáš showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inocencio Xacintu in the 54th minute of the match. A collision led to Ceibal getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Nestor Aresti hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Melquiades Thomas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gogo Berenguer, 0-3. Diego Faron succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 63rd playminute. Diego Faron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gogo Berenguer having to interfere. Gogo Berenguer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Berbiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Bartolo Piorno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 0-5 became the score in the 80th minute when Omar Berbiz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Ceibal booed when Deportivo Bialet Masse was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Talat Bozlak didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute of the match Ruben Astudillo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mojmír Ezechiáš skillfully saved the ball. In the 86th minute Omar Berbiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gogo Berenguer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 87 minutes, Diego Faron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Bialet Masse's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Faron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Ceibal's Ruben Astudillo got a free kick in the 91st minute. Omar Berbiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Deportivo Bialet Masse left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ceibal.
