The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Colegiales's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Paskal came free, but Ali Ömer Özay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Colegiales booed when Ceibal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raul Lizar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Astor Paskal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ceibal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Astor Paskal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Ömer Özay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th minute, Colegiales's Candido Francho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Colegiales's Kent Melin got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Wilfredo Pancho came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Ceibal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilfredo Pancho couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Pancho in the 26th minute of play forced Colegiales's goalkeeper Ali Ömer Özay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilfredo Pancho in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ali Ömer Özay saved Colegiales from getting behind. A collision led to Colegiales getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Constantino Modestio hit a great ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Wilfredo Pancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ceibal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfredo Pancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Colegiales getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Candido Francho hit a great ball. After 37 played minutes Ceibal FC got a freekick which was hit by Isidro Urtungo. Steven Klap, 38 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Astor Paskal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Colegiales booed when Ceibal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Ur didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wilfredo Pancho was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Colegiales's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Wilfredo Pancho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Ceibal FC's Wilfredo Pancho in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Colegiales's goalie prevented a goal. Astor Paskals short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Ali Ömer Özay to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Colegiales's Armando Cordearo got a free kick in the 68th minute. Ali Ömer Özay was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Isidro Urtungo. When Candido Francho fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Colegiales's protests and gave Candido Francho a yellow card for diving instead. After 72 played minutes Colegiales got a freekick which was hit by Candido Francho. Ceibal FC's Astor Paskal got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th play minute Astor Paskal came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ali Ömer Özay. 1-1. With his leg Ali Ömer Özay managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when Ceibal FC's Astor Paskal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ceibal FC's Roberto Ur got his second yellow card of the match in the 88th minute. The referee ordered Roberto Ur off the ground. A collision led to Ceibal FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Roberto Ur hit a great ball. If Clodoveo Henry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogelio Leocadio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Melin, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 94 minutes into the game, Astor Paskal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ali Ömer Özay. Astor Paskal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. The Colegiales fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ceibal FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
