In the 39th minute Vladimiro Elixio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Garoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lapucha were furious when Emilio Salomon was red carded, 41 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Marco Garoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascual Gorka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pascual Gorka was the one to do the kick off. The Wexes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robustiano Handi should have stopped the shot. Lapucha's Marco Garoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Emeterio in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute of the match Eriberto Gartzen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marco Garoa skillfully saved the ball. Marco Garoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Ferran in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Lapucha eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
