Spectators: 6636 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1636, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cecilio Reyes started the match with the kick off. 13 minutes into the match, Arena Gris FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cecilio Reyes came free, but Ramon Cloyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arena Gris FC's Ramon Cloyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cecilio Reyes in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Reyes in the 17th minute of play forced Arena Gris FC's goalkeeper Ramon Cloyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cecilio Reyes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Xeneize fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Xeneize's Cecilio Reyes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Miguel Lawrence showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camilo Jaen, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Desiderio Onbera took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miguel Lawrence. Miguel Lawrence dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Xeneize's Cecilio Reyes got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 41 minutes, Esteve Veronica mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Xeneize and the Arena Gris FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Xeneize's Esteve Veronica got a free kick in the 41st minute. Camilo Jaen might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miguel Lawrence. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Camilo Jaen ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 44th minute, Gustavo Loramendi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute Esteve Veronica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Cloyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Camilo Jaen made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Cecilio Reyes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59thth minute of the game Cecilio Reyes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arena Gris FC's Ramon Cloyo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arena Gris FC's Camilo Jaen got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Camilo Jaen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Miguel Lawrence tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Camilo Jaen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Lawrence having to interfere. Saverio Edwardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Miguel Lawrence tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute of the match Arena Gris FC got a corner. Xeneize's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Saverio Edwardo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ramon Cloyo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cecilio Reyes in the 86th minute. In the 90th minute, Desiderio Onbera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Xeneize's zone, Desiderio Onbera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Lawrence came out of the goal and Desiderio Onbera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xeneize's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
