The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ceyhun Nusin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvestre Bidun having to interfere. 18 minutes into the game, Octavio Urtsua cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Silvestre Bidun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Octavio Urtsua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Silvestre Bidun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvestre Bidun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Urtsua in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ceyhun Nusin in the 29th minute of play forced Mburucuyá's goalkeeper Silvestre Bidun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulysses Faria in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ciriaco Ascencio, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 31st match minute, Mburucuyá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Ursino to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Cornelio Ulizes from long distance, 35 minutes into the match, got Ciriaco Ascencio's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Mburucuyá's Marcin Wozniak managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Remigio Cresitobalo in the 37 minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gogo Berdaitz got free with Ciriaco Ascencio in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Octavio Urtsua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The wind increased when Octavio Urtsua made the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Octavio Urtsua fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Silvestre Bidun, passed just outside the right post. After a rather tough play, Mburucuyá's Erubiel Abecia got a free kick in the 66th minute. Mburucuyá's Marcin Wozniak managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Remigio Cresitobalo in the 76 minute of the game. In the 77th minute, Cris Alcubilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute of the match Everardo Ursino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ciriaco Ascencio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ceyhun Nusin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Everardo Ursino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvestre Bidun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cris Alcubilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When the final whistle sounded Ferro de Catán left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mburucuyá.
