With his leg Erasmo Lordi managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Peyrano's Arnoldo Dalmu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 41st match minute, Peyrano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Chap to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Tebaldo in the 43rd minute of play forced Peyrano's goalkeeper Freddy Pacho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Esteban Tebaldo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Roberto Argider's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erasmo Lordi was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. After 73 played minutes Peyrano got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Dalmu. 76 minutes into the game, Higuera FC's Esteban Tebaldo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Freddy Pacho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Peyrano's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Esteban Tebaldo 82 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Higuera FC's zone, Arnoldo Dalmu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erasmo Lordi came out of the goal and Arnoldo Dalmu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Freddy Pacho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivan Etxekopar in the 94th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Peyrano lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
