Spectators: 6634 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1634, VIP seats: 0) Saavedra's Domingos Leheren started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 0-1 became the score in the 2nd minute when Sixto Froylan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Tudor Oprescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Folke Hedlund in the 13th minute of play. Racing1407 were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Saavedra's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Laureano Micael took the corner. Racing1407's Laureano Micael was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tudor Oprescu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Laureano Micael made a great header on Racing1407's corner, it was just that Saavedra's Tudor Oprescu managed to reach the ball for a save. After 18 minutes of play, Racing1407's Folke Hedlund made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tudor Oprescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Severino Odon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domingos Leheren's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, Racing1407's Eduardo Banegas got a free kick in the 29th minute. 33 minutes into the game, Domingos Leheren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Severino Odon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Racing1407's Tiburcio Checa got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute, Sabino Carvalho made a precise shot to the right of Severino Odon. Racing1407's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Tudor Oprescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Folke Hedlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Sixto Froylan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Racing1407 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Folke Hedlund made a kick off. The supporters of Saavedra booed when Racing1407 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Folke Hedlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute, Cirilo Aznaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Domingos Leheren in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Severino Odon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 64 played minutes Racing1407 got a freekick which was hit by Folke Hedlund. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sixto Froylan got free with Tudor Oprescu in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Saavedra's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Sixto Froylan scored to the left of an out of position Tudor Oprescu, making the score, 2-4. Tudor Oprescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Folke Hedlund in the 78th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Saavedra's goal looked a bit too open when Folke Hedlund came free, but Tudor Oprescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sixto Froylan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Tudor Oprescu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sixto Froylan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Tudor Oprescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Racing1407's Igor Cheche was substituted for Tadeo Tauro. Racing1407's Silvestre Sengrat was substituted for Folke Hedlund. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cirilo Aznaro during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Saavedra getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Cirilo Aznaro hit a great ball. Saavedra's Tudor Oprescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Saavedra from getting a goal against them. The Racing1407 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Racing1407 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
