Álamos's Cayetano Goren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolo Hug in the 3rd minute of play. Leonel Telmo's late challenge caught a Unión Sta Fé CAU's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonel Telmo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 3rd minute, Leonel Telmo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Unión Sta Fé CAU's Bartolo Hug in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Álamos's goalie prevented a goal. In the 6th minute Reine Håkansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Goren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reine Håkansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute, Honorio Mikolas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cayetano Goren was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Unión Sta Fé CAU's Honorio Mikolas got a free kick in the 13th minute. Conrado Rencio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute, Leonel Telmo made a precise shot to the right of Gualterio Luar. Unión Sta Fé CAU's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 27 minutes into the game, Reine Håkansson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Cayetano Goren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 32nd minute Diego Adrio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Goren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cayetano Goren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reine Håkansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Alberto Perico scored 1-3 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cayetano Goren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cayetano Goren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorio Mikolas in the 38th minute of the match. Honorio Mikolas hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute Honorio Mikolas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Goren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Bartolo Hug had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cayetano Goren. Álamos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bartolo Hug was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. After the first half Unión Sta Fé CAU were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Cayetano Goren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Hug in the 55th minute of play. Gualterio Luar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Rencio in the 56th minute of play. Unión Sta Fé CAU's Gualterio Luar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado Rencio in the 59th minute of play. Reine Håkansson kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Conrado Rencio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Bartolo Hug dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cayetano Goren, 1-5. In the 75th minute Honorio Mikolas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Goren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Álamos defense, Bartolo Hug kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cayetano Goren. The Álamos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cayetano Goren should have stopped the shot. Cayetano Goren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartolo Hug, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. If Diego Adrio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the game, Alberto Perico recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cayetano Goren. Alberto Perico showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-7. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolo Hug in the 94th minute of play forced Álamos's goalkeeper Cayetano Goren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cayetano Goren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorio Mikolas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Unión Sta Fé CAU's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
