Apolo Montxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriana Lapurdi having to interfere. After some careless play in the C.A.BOCA JUNIORS defense, Juan Miro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horácio Bertassi. The C.A.BOCA JUNIORS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horácio Bertassi should have stopped the shot. Juan Miro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Horácio Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santo Baumer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th match minute, Montoya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Miro to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, C.A.BOCA JUNIORS's Horácio Bertassi got control of the ball when Juan Miro tried to sneak it across the goal line. C.A.BOCA JUNIORS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Juan Miro scored to the left of an out of position Horácio Bertassi, making the score, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Juan Miro took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Horácio Bertassi. Horácio Bertassi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Adriana Lapurdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apolo Montxo in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basilio Roderigo in the 63rd minute of play forced C.A.BOCA JUNIORS's goalkeeper Horácio Bertassi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fryderyk Figlewski's late challenge caught a Montoya's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fryderyk Figlewski helped the player get up and apologised. Horácio Bertassi had in the 68thth minute some difficulties stopping Juan Miro's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a long run with the ball, Juan Miro did a trick in the 68th minute in front of C.A.BOCA JUNIORS's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 4-1. An impressive performance by Montoya's Juan Miro! 73 minutes into the match, Blas Tuste notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of C.A.BOCA JUNIORS's Horácio Bertassi. C.A.BOCA JUNIORS's Horácio Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvio Lore in the 100th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the C.A.BOCA JUNIORS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Montoya.
