An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Lauren in the 9th minute of play forced Catriló FC's goalkeeper Christian Gartzea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Banda Norte's goal looked a bit too open when Jimeno Galtero came free, but Francisco Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Valdo das Neves came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Banda Norte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdo das Neves couldn't finish the play. Cesar Lamberto hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Banda Norte's Urbano Polo got a free kick in the 21st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Banda Norte's zone, Julio Ciceron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Duarte came out of the goal and Julio Ciceron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The long shot by Donato Koldo in the 26th minute really tested Francisco Duarte's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Mario Lauren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Christian Gartzea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Gartzea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mario Lauren went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 36th play minute Julio Ciceron came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Francisco Duarte. 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mario Lauren to make the kick off. Christian Gartzea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Lauren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Valdo das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Banda Norte's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdo das Neves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Gartzea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Banda Norte's Francisco Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimeno Galtero in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Galtero in the 65th minute of play forced Banda Norte's goalkeeper Francisco Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Julio Ciceron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 73 minutes, Julio Ciceron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catriló FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julio Ciceron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lorenzo Johans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bartolo Aurre charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bartolo Aurre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 79th match minute, Catriló FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartolo Aurre to maneuver through the defense. Catriló FC's Christian Gartzea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Lauren in the 86th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Camilo Francesco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Banda Norte's Desiderio Benvide got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Valdo das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Banda Norte's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdo das Neves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
