Spectators: 7122 (Terracing: 5343, Seating: 1638, VIP seats: 141) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fausto Marino started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Cañete booed when FC Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Mikelar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Fausto Marino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cañete's supporters rose to their feet, but Fausto Marino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aquilino Tohias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fausto Marino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Tohias having to interfere. In the 11th minute Justino Artal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artemio Hondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artemio Hondo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquiles Beat, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. If Fausto Marino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melchor Ralondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquilino Tohias having to interfere. With his leg Aquilino Tohias managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Cañete's Fausto Marino fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fausto Marino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aquilino Tohias having to make a save. Aquilino Tohias was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Trayko Tolev. In the 36th minute of the match, Fausto Marino got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aquilino Tohias was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 37th minute, Mihail Badea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Cañete's goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Beat came free, but Artemio Hondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, Aquiles Beat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Justino Artal made a kick off. Aquiles Beat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Artemio Hondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Fulgencio Peruanton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute Fausto Mikelar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artemio Hondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artemio Hondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino Artal in the 62nd minute of play. Aquilino Tohias came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Cañete's Fausto Marino. But to his dismay, Fausto Marino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Cañete's Artemio Hondo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justino Artal in the 69th minute of play. If Edgardo Piarres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trayko Tolev took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aquilino Tohias. FC Barcelona's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Cañete's Fausto Marino in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Barcelona's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Barcelona's Aquiles Beat slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Artemio Hondo. That made the score 2-1 after 83 minutes of play. In the 92nd minute Mihail Badea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquilino Tohias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aquilino Tohias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihail Badea in the 94th minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Justino Artal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Barcelona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cañete the free kick. In the 96thth minute of the game Fausto Marino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Barcelona's Aquilino Tohias was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
