Los pibes de Estudiantes's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Leonel Gabirel 37 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. 40 minutes into the match, Denis Meder had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paolo Padro. Los pibes de Estudiantes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Denis Meder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Paolo Padro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonel Gabirel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Agustin Bizi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Abel Rumaldo made a huge save. Paolo Padro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Meder in the 56th minute of the match. Pastor Macario lost his temper 58 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Cóndor:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Los pibes de Estudiantes:s goal. The supporters of Los pibes de Estudiantes booed when Cóndor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Bieito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonel Gabirel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 69 minutes into the match, Los pibes de Estudiantes's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Bonifaco came free, but Paolo Padro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
