Zelaya AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonas Sagrario was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 16 minutes, Benjamin Gaufred mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zelaya AFC and the Concepción players grew even worse after the yellow card. Benjamin Gaufred kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Concepción's Justino Totakoxe got a free kick in the 18th minute. Vicente Maiorga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amado Aurre having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Inocencio Odon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Esteban Eskuin. That made the score 1-1 in the 23 minute of play. After 26 played minutes Zelaya AFC got a freekick which was hit by Diego Castulo. After a defensive mix-up in Zelaya AFC's zone, Vicente Maiorga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amado Aurre came out of the goal and Vicente Maiorga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31st minute, Vicente Maiorga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amado Aurre was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Jonas Sagrario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horacio Bakar took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Esteban Eskuin. Esteban Eskuin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Esteban Eskuin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horacio Bakar, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. If Vicente Maiorga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vicente Maiorga in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amado Aurre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonas Sagrario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Amado Aurre made a huge save. A collision led to Concepción getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Antonio Estevon hit a great ball. Esteban Eskuin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inocencio Odon, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Esteban Eskuin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Inocencio Odon kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The Zelaya AFC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
