Gaston Chesus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 17 minutes, Yannick Sourice mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chacarita Juniors and the Espinillos players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Espinillos booed when Chacarita Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yannick Sourice didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaston Chesus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raul Avellaneda went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Raul Dimas hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Freddy Goren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Papo in the 30th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Raul Avellaneda put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Gaston Chesus. A collision led to Espinillos getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Severo Ralondo hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the match, Espinillos's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Viviano came free, but Gaston Chesus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Espinillos's Gerardo Papo pulled a muscle in his leg after 46 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Octavio Arotza's late challenge caught a Espinillos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octavio Arotza helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th match minute, Chacarita Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Arotza to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Atilano Flores was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Raul Avellaneda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chacarita Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. The Chacarita Juniors fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Chacarita Juniors's Raul Avellaneda looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Raul Avellaneda scored 0-6 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaston Chesus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Raul Avellanedas short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Gaston Chesus to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience was convinced that Atilano Flores's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Freddy Goren was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Chacarita Juniors played a much better game than Espinillos and deserved their victory. The Espinillos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
