Spectators: 5100 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 0) Providencia FC's Matias Quintyn started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute of the match Casimiro Jakobe shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Peder Linquist showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 6th match minute, Providencia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Johans to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Eutropio during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jose Eutropio kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Villa Mitre's Eusebio Leheren got a free kick in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Ljúfur Gilsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Anibal Nevada. Ljúfur Gilsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Marcos Innocenzio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peder Linquist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Anibal Nevada stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ljúfur Gilsson's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute Ljúfur Gilsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anibal Nevada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Villa Mitre's Eusebio Leheren got a free kick in the 29th minute. The supporters of Providencia FC booed when Villa Mitre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Modesto Pedroso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anibal Nevada was a little too slow when Matias Quintyn got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 3-0. With a little luck, Villa Mitre's Anibal Nevada got control of the ball when Matias Quintyn tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 46 minutes, Marcos Innocenzio made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Providencia FC's Peder Linquist tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcos Innocenzio made a kick off. Anibal Nevada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Quintyn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anibal Nevada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angel Johans, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the game, Providencia FC's Matias Quintyn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anibal Nevada made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Jose Eutropio scored 6-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anibal Nevada, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anibal Nevada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Quintyn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Matias Quintyn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anibal Nevada was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. When Providencia FC's Matias Quintyn in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Villa Mitre's goalie prevented a goal. Anibal Nevada came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Providencia FC's Ljúfur Gilsson. But to his dismay, Ljúfur Gilsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-1. In the 90th minute, Matias Quintyn left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Providencia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-1. 93 minutes into the match, Villa Mitre's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Quintyn came free, but Anibal Nevada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Villa Mitre getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Abelardo Shepherd hit a great ball. Anibal Nevada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Quintyn in the 96th minute of the match. Providencia FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
