The referee ignored Siberia's protests and gave Alvaro Pello a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of San Marino F.C. booed when Siberia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Pello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eustaquio Cortez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celedonio Katia, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Șerban Anisie hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the match, San Marino F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Lluterio came free, but Eustaquio Cortez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Urbano Maidana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustaquio Cortez having to interfere. Ladislao Harri kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
