Venancio Kelemen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fermin Firmo having to interfere. Javier Cefero scored 1-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Illart, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Veni - Vidi - Vici's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Baldomero Argoitz was slow to take the kick. During this time Boca Juniors's players had a chance to rest. In the 28th minute, Jiří Zvára fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. When Venancio Kelemen came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Venancio Kelemen couldn't finish the play. Baldomero Argoitz kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Iacob Voinescu came free, but Dante Illart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Loreto. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Malin Chorbev was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Veni - Vidi - Vici was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Darien didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute, Iacob Voinescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Veni - Vidi - Vici fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Fermin Firmo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Venancio Kelemen went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 65th minute Javier Cefero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Illart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Illart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iacob Voinescu in the 70th minute of play. Valentin Loreto kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Rafael Phelipe scored 3-1 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Illart, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Venancio Kelemen hit a great ball. Veni - Vidi - Vici's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
