After 6 minutes, Orlando Tomi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chacarita Juniors and the LEPROSO players grew even worse after the yellow card. Orlando Tomi hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Anacleto Gau kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Hilario Esquipula made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anacleto Gau in the 12th minute of play. LEPROSO's Elias Ramirez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquilino Oriol in the 15th minute of play. Anacleto Gau struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Hilario Esquipula didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LEPROSO. When Leo Berenguer came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the LEPROSO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leo Berenguer couldn't finish the play. Aquilino Oriol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elias Ramirez having to make a save. Leo Berenguer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Hilario Esquipula tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leo Berenguer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hilario Esquipula having to make a save. The supporters of LEPROSO booed when Chacarita Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Tomi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leo Berenguer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Esquipula having to interfere. Hilario Esquipula showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reyes McCloud, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If Leo Berenguer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Reyes McCloud left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LEPROSO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roque Rencio made a kick off. Anacleto Gau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Esquipula having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, LEPROSO's Aurelian Eftimiu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hilario Esquipula narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Leo Berenguer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chacarita Juniors's Hilario Esquipula played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reyes McCloud in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Chacarita Juniors's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Leo Berenguer fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Anacleto Gau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reyes McCloud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Hilario Esquipula tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hilario Esquipula was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leo Berenguer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 68 minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, LEPROSO's Leo Berenguer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hilario Esquipula narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Chacarita Juniors's zone, Leo Berenguer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Esquipula came out of the goal and Leo Berenguer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roberto Iratze's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hilario Esquipula read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. When Anacleto Gau came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the LEPROSO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anacleto Gau couldn't finish the play. Anacleto Gau could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Hilario Esquipula made a huge save. Aquilino Oriol's late challenge caught a LEPROSO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aquilino Oriol helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st match minute, Chacarita Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquilino Oriol to maneuver through the defense. Reyes McCloud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Hilario Esquipula tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. LEPROSO's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
