In the 9th play minute Eloy Richie came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Omar Darien. 1-0. In the 12th minute, Aurelio Fernandes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Villiam Löfkvist struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Omar Darien didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mellis Futbol Club. When Aurelio Fernandes came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Mellis Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Fernandes couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, VILLEGAS FC's Dionisio Chano got a free kick in the 19th minute. If Eloy Richie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angel Corderro's late challenge caught a Mellis Futbol Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angel Corderro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, VILLEGAS FC's Angel Corderro got a free kick in the 31st minute. With a little luck, VILLEGAS FC's Omar Darien got control of the ball when Gaudencio Acevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Villiam Löfkvist received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Omar Darien came out and tried to block the shot, but Villiam Löfkvist slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 34th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Villiam Löfkvist in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Omar Darien prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Eloy Richie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Villiam Löfkvist was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Clemente Aballe managed to get in a good position for a shot. VILLEGAS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Clemente Aballe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Barrionuevo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Villiam Löfkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Mellis Futbol Club booed when VILLEGAS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Foro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Villiam Löfkvist succeeded in the game's 66th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. 71 minutes into the game, Americo Llorienzo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Omar Darien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Villiam Löfkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Eloy Richie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Villiam Löfkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Omar Darien was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. After having played for 93 minutes, Villiam Löfkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mellis Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Villiam Löfkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Mellis Futbol Club were the better team. Mellis Futbol Club's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
