Spectators: 7214 (Terracing: 5412, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) Arturo Aragones made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 8th minute, Freddy Kemen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Maurin in the 10th minute of play forced Cintra's goalkeeper Luisito Ebardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Velez Sarsfield's Ceferino Sanduru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Velez Sarsfield from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Cintra getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Santos Caradaro hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, Cintra's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Telmo came free, but Luisito Ebardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosendo Telmo in the 27th minute of play forced Cintra's goalkeeper Luisito Ebardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Velez Sarsfield getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Domingo Bazil hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Cintra's Hernan Heriberto tried to score from far away in the 33rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Cintra's Arturo Aragones got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 40 minutes into the match, Cintra's Arturo Aragones sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ceferino Sanduru narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Roman Jorrin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Luisito Ebardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Maurin, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Rosendo Telmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ceferino Sanduru came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Cintra's Arsenio Ubendu. But to his dismay, Arsenio Ubendu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Luisito Ebardo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rosendo Telmo in the 62nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arturo Aragones in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ceferino Sanduru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66th minute, Roman Jorrin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arturo Aragones recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luisito Ebardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Maurin in the 69th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arturo Aragones in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ceferino Sanduru saved Velez Sarsfield from getting behind. Cintra's Hernan Heriberto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ceferino Sanduru in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ceferino Sanduru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arturo Aragones's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's Rosendo Telmo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luisito Ebardo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 82 minutes of play, Velez Sarsfield's Ciro Maurin made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luisito Ebardo was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Arsenio Ubendu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Velez Sarsfield's zone, Arturo Aragones stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ceferino Sanduru came out of the goal and Arturo Aragones tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cintra's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hernan Heriberto in the 98th minute. After taking down the ball on Cintra's corner Hernan Heriberto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ceferino Sanduru quite easily take care of the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Cintra players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
