The supporters of Olascoaga booed when Prospero Ginieis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Jacindo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Desiderio Ler during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Prospero Ginieis's Miguel Pelayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Policarpio in the 72nd minute of play. Rigoberto Swain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Pelayo having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Prospero Ginieis's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Swain came free, but Miguel Pelayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Olascoaga's zone, Salvador Araoz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Ursino came out of the goal and Salvador Araoz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Olascoaga players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Prospero Ginieis from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
