The corner led Garat's German Quirze to fire away a dangerous shot which Everardo Jokin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Durañona AFC's goalkeeper Everardo Jokin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vasko Velchevski. Durañona AFC's Everardo Jokin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Durañona AFC from getting a goal against them. 30 minutes into the game, Gerardo Kepa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Durañona AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garat the free kick.
