Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amado Aguilera to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Artemio Fagondo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Deportivo Cali's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artemio Fagondo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Alhuampa FC's zone, Patrick Baillon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aldo Tano came out of the goal and Patrick Baillon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Micki Zöller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 85th minute, Patrick Baillon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 87 in the game by Micki Zöller from a close distance when the talented Aldo Tano managed to make a qualified save. Alhuampa FC's players were relieved. Lázaro Hanot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Aldo Tano made a huge save. Micki Zöller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Aldo Tano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 90 minutes, Patrick Baillon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Deportivo Cali's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrick Baillon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Micki Zöller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Tano having to interfere. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
