The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rosendo Lizer during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to C.A River Plate getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Rosendo Lizer hit a great ball. A collision led to Barrio Chino getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Veselin Gúlúbov was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Cleto Martxelin. Teofilo Behe came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Barrio Chino's Roque Valery. But to his dismay, Roque Valery quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Roque Valery received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Teofilo Behe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, C.A River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Roque Valery came free, but Teofilo Behe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The wind increased when Jairo Grabiel made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Camilo Garci mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A River Plate and the Barrio Chino players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Barrio Chino booed when C.A River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Garci didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dobromir Kajfasz during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th minute, Dobromir Kajfasz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 1-2 became the score in the 60th minute when Jairo Grabiel elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Roque Valery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute, Dobromir Kajfasz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Roque Valery came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Barrio Chino fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roque Valery couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute, Inocencio Quexal had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. A collision led to C.A River Plate getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Narciso Precioso hit a great ball. Dobromir Kajfasz came free in the 92nd minute and tried to tip the ball over Teofilo Behe, but to the joy of C.A River Plate's supporters the ball went over. Jairo Grabiel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jairo Grabiel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Veselin Gúlúbov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Barrio Chino players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
