An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantino Playo in the 16th minute of play forced C.A River Plate's goalkeeper Teofilo Behe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Constantino Playo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Behe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Braulio Chuse sped through C.A River Plate's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Teofilo Behe. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Constantino Playo made the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Braulio Chuse who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A River Plate's Teofilo Behe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 57 minutes, Constantino Playo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Espil FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Constantino Playo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Braulio Chuse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Constantino Playo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 66 minutes of play, Espil FC's Braulio Chuse made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teofilo Behe was left in no man's land by his defense there! Modesto Barea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Grabiel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Constantino Playo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teofilo Behe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Braulio Chuse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inocencio Quexal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Modesto Barea made a huge save. Inocencio Quexal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Modesto Barea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Espil FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
