After a defensive mix-up in Defensores Unidos Zarate's zone, Jaime Malvin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Azeari came out of the goal and Jaime Malvin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ambrosio Mitxaut kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Manuel Arotza. That made the score 2-0 in the 32 minute of play. In the 37th match minute, Defensores Unidos Zarate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiro Regis to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elvio Santxol stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arnulfo Lop kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaime Malvin during the 69th minute. But to his dismay, Ambrosio Mitxaut quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Eulalio Rico charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eulalio Rico the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th minute, Eulalio Rico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Defensores Unidos Zarate booed when Faranaz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Saturnin didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ambrosio Mitxaut came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Defensores Unidos Zarate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ambrosio Mitxaut couldn't finish the play. Adolfo Flor was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 83 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, one of Defensores Unidos Zarate:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Defensores Unidos Zarate. The referee gave Faranaz a penalty, 85 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Arturo Etxahun, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Defensores Unidos Zarate's Gustavo Azeari. 3-1. Defensores Unidos Zarate walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
