Honorato Maidana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigoberto Umbruso, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rigoberto Umbruso in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Honorato Maidana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emiliano Franco got free with Leopoldo Delfino in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Perón's Leopoldo Delfino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ioan Ghișe in the 14th minute of play. Roman Fagildo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Honorato Maidana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Baldomiro Bizi notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Perón's Leopoldo Delfino. Leopoldo Delfino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Perón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leopoldo Delfino should have stopped the shot.
