Spectators: 5641 (Terracing: 4510, Seating: 1111, VIP seats: 20) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Baldomiro Bizi started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luisito Txilar during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marcelo Solustiano had in the 7thth minute some difficulties stopping Feliberto Victoro's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Lorenzo Lorencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Honorato Maidana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 12 minutes, Doksim Antevski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alumni and the Naranjito FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ioan Ghișe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ioan Ghișe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ariel Reynardo charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ariel Reynardo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ariel Reynardo hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Naranjito FC defense, Baldomiro Bizi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelo Solustiano. The Naranjito FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Solustiano should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute, Jonatan Larra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baldomiro Bizi got free with Marcelo Solustiano in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Naranjito FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Solustiano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ioan Ghișe in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Solustiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ioan Ghișe was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 39th minute. Alumni's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lorenzo Lorencio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Baldomiro Bizi struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Marcelo Solustiano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alumni. 54 minutes into the match, Alumni's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo Lorencio came free, but Honorato Maidana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcelo Solustiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ioan Ghișe in the 59th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Naranjito FC's Serafin Chorache got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Ioan Ghișe made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Solustiano. Naranjito FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 64th minute Lorenzo Lorencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Honorato Maidana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remigio Orlin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Honorato Maidana made a huge save. During the 66th minute of the match Doksim Antevski completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Doksim Antevski a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Alumni's Doksim Antevski got a free kick in the 67th minute. Lorenzo Lorencio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelo Solustiano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ioan Ghișe went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 73rd minute, Ioan Ghișe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remigio Orlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felipe Solustiano took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelo Solustiano. Marcelo Solustiano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Naranjito FC's Lorenzo Lorencio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Honorato Maidana. That made the score 4-1 after 81 minutes of play. The supporters of Naranjito FC booed when Alumni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ioan Ghișe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Solustiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ioan Ghișe, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. There was no doubt that Alumni were the better team. Alumni's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
