After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Ruperto Guillem managed to get in a good position for a shot. c.a.Tigre's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruperto Guillem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anastasio Aresti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Campbell getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Wilfredo Boniel hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Mazinho Favoretto sped through Campbell's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anastasio Aresti. After 32 played minutes Campbell got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Boniel. In the 34th minute, Saul Fiz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Campbell fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 48 played minutes Baldomiro Vimaro rounded c.a.Tigre's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mazinho Favoretto to make the kick off. c.a.Tigre's Gregorio Lixandro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomiro Vimaro in the 54th minute of play. Gregorio Lixandro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomiro Vimaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the match, Eusebio Veronica notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of c.a.Tigre's Gregorio Lixandro. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gregorio Lixandro didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Campbell's Eusebio Veronica shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 6-1 in the ordered_time% minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Veronica in the 89th minute of play forced c.a.Tigre's goalkeeper Gregorio Lixandro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gregorio Lixandro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Campbell had won after a very even match.
