Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rosendo Gamus in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isidro Rey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosendo Gamus in the 13th minute of play forced Lanús's goalkeeper Isidro Rey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isidro Rey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rosendo Gamus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adrianinho Messias during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Adrianinho Messias hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Jaunti in the 18th minute of play forced Lanús's goalkeeper Isidro Rey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Caspichango FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jedrzej Rzegotka came free, but Honorato Gaufred reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute of the match, Juan Orkatz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Isidro Rey was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After the first half Lanús were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rosendo Gamus was the one to do the kick off. Rosendo Gamus took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isidro Rey. Isidro Rey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. With 60 minutes on the clock, Nemesio Galeno commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. One of Lanús:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Caspichango FC:s goal. Raimundo Quinten kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Caspichango FC's Honorato Gaufred proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Caspichango FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrianinho Messias in the 74th minute of play forced Caspichango FC's goalkeeper Honorato Gaufred to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Caspichango FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jedrzej Rzegotka came free, but Honorato Gaufred reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute, Rosendo Gamus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Lanús's Adrianinho Messias slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Honorato Gaufred. That made the score 1-4 after 90 minutes of play. Isidro Rey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rosendo Gamus's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Rosendo Gamus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
