Omar Goi's late challenge caught a Lanús's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 11th match minute, Lanús was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Quinten to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adrianinho Messias in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelino Vachon saved DEPORTIVO BRACHU from getting behind. Edgard Raymundo took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isidro Rey. Isidro Rey dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. If Edgard Raymundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelino Vachon was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Justo Cefero. In the 27th minute, Justo Cefero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adrianinho Messias was extremely unlucky when he, in the 31st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Patricio Eleder hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After having played for 34 minutes, David Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lanús's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Varela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcelino Vachon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrianinho Messias in the 36th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adrianinho Messias got free with Marcelino Vachon in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Patricio Eleder hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that David Varela's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelino Vachon was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. David Varela could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Marcelino Vachon made a huge save. Adrianinho Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Marcelino Vachon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Edgard Raymundo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Isidro Rey. That made the score 1-4 in the 55 minute of play. Marcelino Vachon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Varela went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. When Lanús's David Varela in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 96th minute Adrianinho Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Vachon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. DEPORTIVO BRACHU walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
