In the 4th match minute, Velez Sarfield F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmar Ellande to maneuver through the defense. Delmar Ellande kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Emilio Calisto made a precise shot to the right of Christian Beat. Velez Sarfield F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Francisco Fraco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christian Beat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliano Senin in the 17th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Velez Sarfield F.C's Vladimiro Pero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ciriaco Truylos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of RACING CLUB booed when Velez Sarfield F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimiro Pero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Ruben Francho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Velez Sarfield F.C getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ruben Francho hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aureliano Senin in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Beat prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of RACING CLUB booed when Velez Sarfield F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Segundo Firman didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emilio Calisto in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christian Beat saved Velez Sarfield F.C from getting behind. The attack was good, but when Emilio Calisto in the 46th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After the first half RACING CLUB were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Aureliano Senin made the kick off in the second half. Christian Beat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Calisto, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Vladimiro Pero kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Victoriano Felo's late challenge caught a RACING CLUB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victoriano Felo helped the player get up and apologised. Ruben Francho made in the 65th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by RACING CLUB's Isidoro Llanos. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emilio Calisto in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christian Beat saved Velez Sarfield F.C from getting behind. 68 minutes into the match, Vladimiro Pero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ciriaco Truylos. RACING CLUB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vladimiro Pero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 72nd minute Emilio Calisto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Beat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Velez Sarfield F.C getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Victor Pacifico hit a great ball. With a little luck, Velez Sarfield F.C's Christian Beat got control of the ball when Aureliano Senin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Christian Beat came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by RACING CLUB's Aureliano Senin. But to his dismay, Aureliano Senin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 87th match minute, RACING CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severo Stephen to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Ferdinando Barbanti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velez Sarfield F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferdinando Barbanti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciriaco Truylos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Fabian Sadurni kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Christian Beat. That made the score 1-3 in the 95 minute of play. The Velez Sarfield F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. RACING CLUB were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
