Spectators: 7088 (Terracing: 5317, Seating: 1630, VIP seats: 141) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gabriel Jakobe got the match started through his kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eloy Ascencio during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Nesor in the 22nd minute of play forced Marapá's goalkeeper Karol Zdrojewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Isidoro Calvino threw the ball into play from the sideline. Marapá's Aristides Lucado quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Anastasio Bernaldo walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The Formosa FC fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Formosa FC's Ramon Ondino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ramon Ondino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ramon Ondino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karol Zdrojewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliberto Veto, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramon Ondino in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karol Zdrojewski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Formosa FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ramon Ondino to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Marapá defense, Ramon Ondino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karol Zdrojewski. The Marapá fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karol Zdrojewski should have stopped the shot. Ramon Ondino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orlando Frascuelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Karol Zdrojewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karol Zdrojewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Ondino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramon Ondino in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karol Zdrojewski saved Marapá from getting behind. 87 minutes into the game, Aristides Mazuste was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marapá's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Formosa FC the free kick. The supporters of Formosa FC booed when Marapá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristides Mazuste didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabriel Jakobe charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabriel Jakobe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Marapá getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Gabriel Jakobe hit a great ball. In the 91st minute, Formosa FC's Ramon Ondino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. In the 95th match minute, Formosa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Nesor to maneuver through the defense. The Formosa FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Formosa FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
