The referee ignored Granateam's protests and gave Cipriano Bikendi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th match minute, Granateam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Bikendi to maneuver through the defense. Abel Menendo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Benedicto Milio made a huge save. Benedicto Milio had in the 81stth minute some difficulties stopping Saverio Mincho's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Abel Menendo's late challenge caught a Granateam's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abel Menendo helped the player get up and apologised. If Roque Gabino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Burzaco FC's zone, Clodoveo Iraitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. When the match was over Granateam could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Burzaco FC throughout the match.
