Esteban Sedeni charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Esteban Sedeni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to C.A. Velez Sarsfield getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Esteban Sedeni hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the match, C.A. Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Atauri came free, but Jeronimo Geofredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. rojopasion's Fernando Miro got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Velez Sarsfield's Jeronimo Geofredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Atauri in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Manuel Oxel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. rojopasion's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A. Velez Sarsfield the free kick. Manuel Oxel kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Jeronimo Geofredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Miro, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Haroldas Sagurskis during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th minute, Haroldas Sagurskis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Atauri in the 27th minute of play forced C.A. Severiano Txartiko charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severiano Txartiko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 played minutes rojopasion got a freekick which was hit by Severiano Txartiko. After the first half rojopasion were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Abel Atauri made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Marcelinho das Neves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Faustino Aballe. rojopasion's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcelinho das Neves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Jeronimo Geofredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Atauri, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Jeronimo Geofredo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reynaldo Maureo in the 59th minute. The supporters of rojopasion booed when C.A. Velez Sarsfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldas Sagurskis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Esteban Sedeni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Abel Atauri kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jeronimo Geofredo. That made the score 2-2 in the 71 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in rojopasion's zone, Lucio Obeko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faustino Aballe came out of the goal and Lucio Obeko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucio Obeko in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faustino Aballe saved rojopasion from getting behind. Gerardo Asier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucio Obeko in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Faustino Aballe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Faustino Aballe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucio Obeko's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. In the 96th minute C.A. Velez Sarsfield were awarded a corner. Lucio Obeko went to the cornerflag to take it. Americo Garin made a great header on C.A. Velez Sarsfield's corner, it was just that rojopasion's Faustino Aballe managed to reach the ball for a save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched rojopasion eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
