Gatot Macri showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Gatot Macri managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Gatot Macri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Braulio Elorri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Tuma...'s Braulio Elorri got control of the ball when Humberto Tximitx tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 22nd minute, River Plate's Gatot Macri ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Braulio Elorri. Braulio Elorri yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Carlos Cebrian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualterio Totakoxe in the 28th minute of the match. Gualterio Totakoxe scored 3-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Cebrian, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Tuma...'s Mustafa Emre Atasagun got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute, Luis Primo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tuma...'s Braulio Elorri didn't even have to move. After a rather tough play, Tuma...'s Honorio Florinio got a free kick in the 41st minute. Tuma... made a substitution. Honorio Guillem replaced Saul Ferdinand. The supporters of Tuma... booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Pueblo didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Humberto Tximitx stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Venancio Bidari took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Braulio Elorri. Braulio Elorri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Carlos Cebrian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armağan Ehil, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Tuma...'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the Tuma... defense, Gatot Macri kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Braulio Elorri. The Tuma... fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Braulio Elorri should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Tuma... booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Tximitx didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venancio Bidari might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Braulio Elorri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Venancio Bidari ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 84th match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venancio Bidari to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the match, Urbano Iaki had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlos Cebrian. River Plate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Urbano Iaki was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-2. The throw-in from Ladislao Guillelmus in the 93rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Tuma...'s Honorio Guillem. Carlos Cebrian was a little too slow when Gualterio Totakoxe got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 6-3. The River Plate players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
