The audience thought a goal was coming when Benicio Fortun got free with Julio Rolado in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Rolado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robustiano Ubelteso in the 30th minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Julio Romano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulises Regis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Feliciano Egoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tegua FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Feliciano Egoitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulises Regis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th minute, Eduardo Urdaspal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yngve Utfal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Campos's Ulises Regis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Campos from getting a goal against them.
