The Salinas Fulbo Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauricio Paz should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvano Senon got free with Pepe Lopez de Toro in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Remigio Maju fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauricio Paz having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
