Spectators: 6986 (Terracing: 5343, Seating: 1638, VIP seats: 5) When Rolando Tiso came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Altagracia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolando Tiso couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Velez Sarsfield's Astor Tomi got control of the ball when Benicio Salbatore tried to sneak it across the goal line. 5 minutes into the match, Altagracia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jimeno Beremundo came free, but Arnulfo Balasi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Codrin Pavelescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Astor Tomi. Codrin Pavelescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Codrin Pavelescu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Astor Tomi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Astor Tomi came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Altagracia FC's Erling Grubb. But to his dismay, Erling Grubb quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Astor Tomi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Codrin Pavelescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erling Grubbs short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Astor Tomi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Arnulfo Balasi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Olo in the 40th minute of play. Astor Tomi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Codrin Pavelescu in the 42nd minute of play. Codrin Pavelescu struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Astor Tomi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Altagracia FC. Erling Grubb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Tomi having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Arnulfo Balasi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimeno Beremundo, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Carmelo Nesto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arnulfo Balasi, 2-1. Erling Grubb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Velez Sarsfield's zone, Erling Grubb stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Astor Tomi came out of the goal and Erling Grubb tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Altagracia FC's Erling Grubb in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Velez Sarsfield's goalie prevented a goal. Astor Tomi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Codrin Pavelescu in the 75th minute of play. The Altagracia FC fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Altagracia FC's Codrin Pavelescu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Arnulfo Balasi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carmelo Nesto in the 84th minute. After 86 played minutes, Velez Sarsfield's Flavio Urtun shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arnulfo Balasi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Velez Sarsfield reached it. Leonardo Edur hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damaso Olo in the 91st minute of play forced Altagracia FC's goalkeeper Arnulfo Balasi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gervasio Hitzeder scored 3-2 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnulfo Balasi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Altagracia FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
