Spectators: 7152 (Terracing: 5365, Seating: 1645, VIP seats: 142) The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvano Senon got free with Astor Tomi in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 4th minute Osvaldo Enekoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Tomi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Osvaldo Enekoitz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Astor Tomi. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Mauricio Paz came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Velez Sarsfield's Esteban Pueblo. But to his dismay, Esteban Pueblo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 18th minute Gervasio Hitzeder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Paz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, Roque Harriet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Astor Tomi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Astor Tomi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Enekoitz in the 29th minute of the match. Astor Tomi made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Silvano Senon sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Velez Sarsfield's zone, Baltasar Beturian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Astor Tomi came out of the goal and Baltasar Beturian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute, Osvaldo Enekoitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Damaso Olo made a kick off. Osvaldo Enekoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 59 played minutes Velez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Carmelo Nesto. Osvaldo Enekoitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Tomi having to interfere. After 72 minutes of play, Salinas Fulbo Club's Silvano Senon made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Astor Tomi was left in no man's land by his defense there! With an all-out effort, Velez Sarsfield's Mauricio Paz threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jimeno Beremundo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Astor Tomi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silvano Senon went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Astor Tomi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvano Senon, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Velez Sarsfield's zone, Osvaldo Enekoitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Astor Tomi came out of the goal and Osvaldo Enekoitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 95 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Senon came free, but Astor Tomi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salinas Fulbo Club's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
