Ruben Darien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas Feliz in the 6th minute of play. If Tadeo Ponciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tadeo Ponciano might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruben Darien. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tadeo Ponciano ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 13 minutes, Arnaldo Urko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Coco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnaldo Urko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th match minute, Los Coco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Firmin to maneuver through the defense. Urbano Precioso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Los Coco FC defense, Tadeo Ponciano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruben Darien. The Los Coco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruben Darien should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tadeo Ponciano in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruben Darien prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gaudencio Mattin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Jimmy Michalow tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Herminio Eguntsenti hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Anier Quinteros hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 36th match minute, Cochrane FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeo Ponciano to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the game, Tadeo Ponciano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ruben Darien was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tadeo Ponciano in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruben Darien saved Los Coco FC from getting behind. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Tadeo Ponciano sped through Los Coco FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ruben Darien. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnaldo Urko was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tadeo Ponciano got free with Ruben Darien in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 74th minute, Blas Feliz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 77 minutes into the game, Tadeo Ponciano lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Ruben Darien. Alexander Rimstad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Ruben Darien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cochrane FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
