In the 48th minute, Matias Hanni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 49th minute, Bernabe Abancens sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Gaucho Argentino's Rolando Fagildo didn't even have to move.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aldo Venceslao to make the kick off. Norberto Cresconio came out of the goal and Aldo Venceslao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute, Constantino Checa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zeledon Matro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Aldo Venceslao's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Norberto Cresconio was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Algarrobitos walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
