After a defensive mix-up in Sonder FC's zone, Federico Ladio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariano Otsoko came out of the goal and Federico Ladio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 3rd match minute, Sonder FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santos Paulin to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute, Federico Ladio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chicoana's Jairo Udalaitz got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mariano Otsoko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Urko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute Federico Ladio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Otsoko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conrado Ezkerra kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. German Fonda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Otsoko having to interfere. Mariano Otsoko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Urko in the 16th minute of the match. Osvaldo Leherens short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Abelardo Fresco to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Julio Urko charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julio Urko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Julio Urko kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After 29 minutes of play Chicoana's Julio Urko was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Chicoana getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Julio Urko hit a great ball. Chicoana's Abelardo Fresco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Chicoana from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Frances in the 40th minute of play forced Chicoana's goalkeeper Abelardo Fresco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Ladio in the 44th minute of play forced Sonder FC's goalkeeper Mariano Otsoko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 minutes, Jairo Udalaitz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chicoana and the Sonder FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute, Jairo Udalaitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Federico Ladio was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Federico Ladio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mariano Otsoko, 0-1. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Osvaldo Leheren sped through Chicoana's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Abelardo Fresco. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Osvaldo Leheren in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abelardo Fresco saved Chicoana from getting behind. Osvaldo Leheren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Fresco having to interfere. Mariano Otsoko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Ladio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osvaldo Leheren scored 2-1 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abelardo Fresco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. German Fonda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Mariano Otsoko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Chicoana defense, Efrain Frances kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abelardo Fresco. The Chicoana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abelardo Fresco should have stopped the shot. Chicoana's Abelardo Fresco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Leheren in the 96th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sonder FC had won after a very even match.
