Tucumana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saint Francis the free kick. After 17 played minutes Tucumana got a freekick which was hit by Hermengildo Gonchan. A collision led to Saint Francis getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Rolando Feliu hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Duarte in the 27th minute of play forced Tucumana's goalkeeper Isaias Mazuste to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Saint Francis's Jonas Duarte sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isaias Mazuste narrowly saved just below the crossbar. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Isaias Mazuste. If Fabrizio Feltrin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

After 52 played minutes Tucumana got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Seber. Isaias Mazuste made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Duarte in the 54th minute of play. Sebastian Machado charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastian Machado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Isaias Mazuste stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabrizio Feltrin's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. After 74 minutes of play, Saint Francis's Fabrizio Feltrin made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Isaias Mazuste was left in no man's land by his defense there! Isaias Mazuste showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Fabrizio Feltrin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaias Mazuste having to interfere. Tucumana's Isaias Mazuste played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrizio Feltrin in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th match minute, Tucumana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermengildo Gonchan to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Saint Francis players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
