Leopoldo Paul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. C A River Plate's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 19th minute of the game, when Ladislao Lore after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of ARGENRACING FC's goal. Ladislao Lore was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Cleto Gustau's late challenge caught a C A River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cleto Gustau helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to ARGENRACING FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Cleto Gustau hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the match, C A River Plate's Ladislao Lore broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 37th minute, Rosendo Ebardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to C A River Plate getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Pascual Lucero hit a great ball. Horacio Rodriguez might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruben Porfirio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Horacio Rodriguez ran back to his position shaking his head. Ruben Porfirio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Rodriguez in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isidro Noe was the one to do the kick off. Ruben Porfirio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Rodriguez in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes into the game, Ceferino Chuan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ARGENRACING FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C A River Plate the free kick. The supporters of C A River Plate booed when ARGENRACING FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceferino Chuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rosendo Ebardo in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruben Porfirio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rosendo Ebardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60thth minute of the game Horacio Rodriguez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ARGENRACING FC's Ruben Porfirio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rosendo Ebardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Porfirio having to interfere. Ruben Porfirio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosendo Ebardo in the 69th minute of play. Rosendo Ebardo struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. In the 82nd minute Horacio Rodriguez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Porfirio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Horacio Rodriguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rosendo Ebardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruben Porfirio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Cleto Gustau kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Horacio Rodriguez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isidro Noe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Albano Sal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celestino Laffitte hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes Isidro Noe rounded C A River Plate's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. The C A River Plate supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching ARGENRACING FC's performance. The match ended with a win for ARGENRACING FC.
