Rares Bordeanu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 22nd playminute. After 30 played minutes Fabiano AFC got a freekick which was hit by Julio Cordero. After a defensive mix-up in Fabiano AFC's zone, Osvaldo Valiente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damaso Paublo came out of the goal and Osvaldo Valiente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rd minute, Grupo de Jovenes AC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Enéas Maia fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 43 minutes into the match, Fabiano AFC's Julio Cordero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Severo Mederi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Osvaldo Valiente to make the kick off. Fabiano AFC's Damaso Paublo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Valiente in the 53rd minute of play. The supporters of Fabiano AFC booed when Grupo de Jovenes AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeo Caitano didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rares Bordeanu fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Severo Mederi came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Fabiano AFC's Enéas Maia. But to his dismay, Enéas Maia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 87 minutes into the match, Grupo de Jovenes AC's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Cordero came free, but Severo Mederi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rares Bordeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pascual Asier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Damaso Paublo made a huge save. 97 minutes into the match, Fabiano AFC's goalkeeper Damaso Paublo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pascual Asier. For all the effort they put into the match, the Grupo de Jovenes AC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Fabiano AFC.
