After a defensive mix-up in Manantiales AFC's zone, Isaac Ascencio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Coelho came out of the goal and Isaac Ascencio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the match, Isaac Ascencio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Coelho. Manantiales AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isaac Ascencio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Leonardo Pere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leo Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Elpidio Nuxila got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonardo Pere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Generoso Panpili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Leonardo Pere in the 40th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Rumioj's Victorino Beltza. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rumioj's goalkeeper Generoso Panpili, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elpidio Nuxila to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erubiel Ralondo during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Manantiales AFC booed when Rumioj was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erubiel Ralondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Manantiales AFC's Elpidio Nuxila slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Generoso Panpili. That made the score 2-1 after 56 minutes of play. In the 60th minute, Leonardo Pere got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Ascencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Manantiales AFC made a substitution. Marcelo Noe replaced Marcos Dalmau. Manantiales AFC made a substitution. Arturo Viator replaced Elpidio Nuxila. The throw-in from Marcelo Noe in the 79th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Rumioj's Umberto Marques. If Arturo Viator had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rumioj's Generoso Panpili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Viator in the 85th minute of play. Edelmiro Abilio kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Isaac Ascencio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Coelho was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arturo Viator in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Generoso Panpili saved Rumioj from getting behind. In the 91st minute Arturo Viator shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Panpili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manantiales AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
